Kent County Council Early Help and Preventative Services

Welcome to the Early Help and Preventative Services online feedback tool. The feedback you give is anonymous and your answers will be kept safely and securely. They will be used by us to understand what you think about the service you have received and to help us to improve our services.

We provide a variety of support for children, young people and families in Kent through Early Help Units, Children’s Centres, Youth Hubs and Outdoor Education Centres which includes:

Early Help Units – provide intensive support for families from an Early Help worker with an assessment and plan to support the changes you want to make.

Open Access Children’s Centres – offer universal support for families with children from birth to 7 years of age and targeted provision through groups and programmes. They also provide additional one to one support tailored to individual and specific needs of families.

Open Access Youth Hubs – offer universal support for young people aged 8 or over and targeted provision through groups and programmes. They also provide additional one to one support tailored to individual and specific needs of young people and their families.

Outdoor Education – offers a variety of support to develop, plan and manage high quality and safe education visits and adventurous activities and to help develop and promote outdoor learning.

Youth Justice Service – provide support for young offenders requiring statutory intervention.

Inclusion and Attendance Service – provide support for children and young people with issues of behaviour, attendance and exclusion.
